1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to UPS Point. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, mobile interface, and services, as well as the purchase of any products (such as inverters, UPS systems, tubular/lithium batteries, and electrical accessories) from our online store.

By accessing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years of age or accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and password.

3. Product Information & Pricing

  • Specifications: We strive to display product specifications, technical capacities (e.g., VA/kVA ratings, battery Ah), and images as accurately as possible. However, actual packaging or product colors may vary slightly.
  • Pricing & Taxes: All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless stated otherwise.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to revise prices, discounts, and product availability without prior notice.

4. Orders & Payment

  • Order Confirmation: An order is confirmed once payment has been successfully authorized or when you receive an order confirmation email/SMS from us.
  • Payment Modes: We accept online payments via Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets, and other verified payment gateways.
  • Order Cancellation by UPS Point: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. In such cases, any amount charged will be refunded in full.

5. Shipping, Delivery & Inspection

  • Delivery Areas: We offer delivery across Bengaluru and select regions in India. Delivery timelines vary based on location and product weight/dimensions.
  • Heavy Equipment Handling: Inverters and lead-acid/tubular batteries are heavy and require careful transit. Deliveries to upper floors without elevator access may incur additional handling charges.
  • Inspection on Delivery: Customers must inspect the product packaging upon arrival. If the seal is broken or there is visible physical damage/leakage, do not accept the package and report it immediately to our customer support.

6. Installation & Demonstration

  • Standard installation services (where applicable) are scheduled following delivery during regular business hours (9:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that adequate electrical wiring, bypass switches, and ventilation space are available before the technician arrives.
  • Additional wiring, MCBs, or civil work required outside standard setup will be charged separately.

7. Warranty & Manufacturer Guarantees

  • Manufacturer Warranty: All branded products (such as LUMINOUS, Exide, Microtek, etc.) carry standard manufacturer warranties. Warranty cards and tax invoices must be retained for claim purposes.
  • Warranty Claims: Warranty service is provided directly by the respective authorized manufacturer service centers or through our store as an authorized dealer.
  • Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by short circuits, lightning, unauthorized modifications, water damage, improper acid handling, or physical drop damage.

8. Cancellation, Returns & Refund Policy

  • Order Cancellation: Orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund. Once dispatched, cancellation is subject to two-way transit fees.
  • Returns: Due to the hazardous nature of battery electrolytes and electrical components, returns are only accepted for products that are:
    • Damaged in transit (reported within 24 hours of delivery).
    • Defective on arrival (verified by a technician).
    • Different from the item ordered.
  • Refund Timeline: Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

9. Old Battery Buyback / Exchange (Scrap Policy)

If you opt for an exchange discount by trading in an old battery:

  • The scrap battery must be handed over to our delivery/installation agent at the time of delivery.
  • If the scrap battery is not provided or differs significantly in capacity/type from the quoted details, the exchange discount will be revoked, and the difference must be paid in cash/online.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • UPS Point shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from power failures, improper electrical setups at the client premises, or misuse of equipment.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of a purchase is limited to the amount paid for the specific product.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or website transactions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
